Industrial vacuums must have a higher power output to produce more sucking power than vacuum cleaners that are used in the home. The body, components and accessories need to be manufactured from materials that are more robust and durable. The filtration system of the vacuum needs to be of a higher quality and be able to eliminate more dust as well as deal with chemicals or other materials that could damage a normal vacuum cleaner. As there is more dirt that needs to be sucked up in an industrial environment, the vacuum drum must have a greater capacity to minimise the need for constant emptying of the vacuum.
